Dog food to stools per day?

Just wanting to get some input on something. I have read where people talk about dog food and how their dogs have a few stools a day on this feed or that feed. I have fed several brands of dog food and never noticed an increase in stools like some people have talked about. I feed an amount that keeps the dogs healthy and have noticed when I am gone and others feed my dogs they do have more stools per day. While I am away I think they are being fed to much. I have read that if you over feed your dogs they will have more stools per day and might even start eating their stools because of unprocessed food passing through their system. I have used feed that claims less kennel clean up per day and have seen no difference in these foods than others as long as they are fed per directions. Anyone ever noticed this before?
