CH'PR'Clayton's Rock River Rush wins 1st Place!!!

We won big yesterday! Hank won Ch of Ch Male and finished out to GRCH, Big Girl won Ch of Ch Female and finished out to GRCH, and Hank won 1st place last night at the Nite Hunt in Jackson County.

I'm so excited! We went to our first spot and it was thundering and lightning and the wind was howling, it was awful!! Hank got 3rd strike and 1st tree on the only coon scored for 175+. Went to another place and the dogs struck but it was a lay up and they couldn't do anything with it and they all came out and Hank got minused 50. They saw the coon, but it had already been down and went up, quite a while before we got there. Then we went to several other of our spots and never got a bark out of the dogs. We saw 3 coons and scored 1. The other 2 were layups and the dogs couldn't do anything with them.

He finished the night with 125+ and we treed the only coon that was treed in the registered cast!!!

I know how you feel......My Dot female also won first place last night with +175 and no minus....She was also treed the only coon of the open class.

She now has a 1st and a 3rd in 5 hunts........Its a good day!!!

How many pts does Hank need to make NTCH?

Thanks again...

Everyone, I'm just soooo excited. Hank really did good Saturday night, he didn't get the strike, but he sure slammed the tree! There was not a mean dog in the cast, there were no slick treeing idiots, no cheating handlers, and not one single argument or disagreement.

Those are the kinds of hunts that make you proud to win, or even say you had a dog on that cast.

You know what is wierd, Quincy wasn't going to Hunt Hank because this guy had offered him $50 just to guide him. He's finished 3 dogs on our places though. With 1 minute left before the deadline was up, he decided to hunt him for sure. And as bad as Quincy needed the money, he told him that he just had a feeling that he needed to hunt, and he was sure right!!! We're both glad that he decided to hunt anyways.

I know our dogs are not perfect, and I dont put them off to be. They may do anything in the woods, but, when they really do something good, I believe you have a good reason to brag a little!!

I'm being serious about Hank Slamming that tree, he was treed almost 4 minutes before the other dogs even came to him, and he never even let up treeing.

Oh, I plan on it.

We went hunting last night, Cheyenne pitched a fit when it started raining and I had to run her to the truck!!!

She'd holler "coon hunting mommy!!! coon hunting!!"

I told her "You cant coon hunt in the rain!"

she told me "coon hunting or I bust your a@#!!!"

I ABOUT DIED!!! It was soooo funny I had to laugh.
