i have had 5 pups in the past 3 yrs and only one of them didnt mind the crate and rarely made a mess when he was left in there all day while i was at work. the other 4 however make a mess and wont shut up. any sugestions?

You are putting a child in a small area all day long and expecting them to not make a mess. Erect a pen outside with a house and put the puppy/puppies in it were there is room to move around and use the restroom.
