Dog Poo Question...

I live in the country and have a septic tank/leachfield system for my house. I scrape the kennels everyday (concrete) and put the dog poo in a 5 gallon bucket. I fill the bucket about every two weeks.

This might be a stupid question...but can I lift the lid to my septic tank and dump the bucket of poo in there? I mean can the septic system handle this...there is some straw mixed throughout the poo sometimes.

I'm just getting tired of dumping it on my own land (only 5 acres) or driving down the road and dumping it on the neighbors land...LOL

Do you have a garbage pickup ? I've been putting mine in a garbage can with a GOOD plastic contractor bag since 1984 here. Ship it with the garbage every week. Don't try to fill it up our you'll have more than you can handle and you don't want to break it. Twist the top and tie it in a good knot.

Don't use the clear bags, whats not seen in the garbage isn't worried about.

That problem really stinks LOL. Due not put it in your septic, that would be asking for a world of trouble. Lucky you can use a septic yourself. I like the garbage bag one. I skinned a coon out once and put the carcuss in an outside garbage can. Well I forgot it for two weeks. Weeeew what a smell. Put it out for the garbage man. I hid in the house when he opned the can. You should have saw the look on his face. It was priceless. Never did that again.

YOU CAN USE 2 55 GALLON METAL DRUMS WELDED TOGETHER TO MAKE A SEPTIC TANK FOR YOUR DOG KENNELS. OURS WORKS WELL.
