Can any one tell me if the bluegills or crappies are in the shallows yet?Or are there any cats or walleyes in the lake?

I live about 70 miles north of there. They are starting to catch some really nice pre-spawn bluegills up here so I'm guessing the same would hold true down there. The fish are not making beds yet but there are some really nice size gills being caught in 6-8 foot of water.

I don't know the lakes or rivers in that area at all. You might try searching for local bait shops and see what you can learn from them.
