Uchtman lovers.

What is your best cross on the Uchtman dogs.

Let me see there is the
Albert/Ranger line
Scout/ Hawk line
Uchtman Ben or Lighting line
Uchtman Bill line

Let me see that should cover Gary, Lonnie,Wilbern, and Doyle.

Also what type of hunting traits have you seen in them?

I picked the Albert/Ranger line because I have had more experience with them.

Actually, I think a mix of the Ranger and Hawk blood has proven to be ideal. The best cross on old Hawk was probably the Belle female of Gary's, who was a littermate sister to Ranger IV.

I have a Nt. Ch. female out of Albert and my old Belle gyp that is a dandy, and I am going to breed her the next time she comes in.

I think the most overlooked is the Bill/Super Glue. From what I have seen Bill was not used enough. I had a grandpup to him that was awesome. I voted for Hawk and Scout but I think there are alot of nice hounds that go back to Bill and Super Glue.

Gary believes that had Super Glue lived a normal life span, he would have been the best reproducing Blue dog ever.

Doyle Uchtman's Bill dog was one of the better known dogs out of Super Glue. he sired very few pups, and died very young.

Gary just said that it seemed to him that the Super Glue pups seemed to be a cut above in intelligence and ability...just his opinion.

Albert III is a fine looking dog, a super tree dog who was naturally straight. Never seemed to have any interest in off game. He has a huge mouth, and is a hard hunting dog.

He is a little tight on the ground.

His sire, Albert II died young, but was one of a phenomenal litter. They weren't well known dogs, but were coon dogs with inbelievable mouths. Their mother, Nt. Ch. Coney River Blue Rose, was out of Ranger V and a daughter of Ranger II. She had the best mouth I ever heard on a female, and maybe the best mouth I ever heard period. She was a top hound in every department.

His mother, old Robin, was a littermate sister to Rambo II.

Albert III

Albert III looked real good the night I went with him. He's also reproducing some dandy pups. The litter I raised are all good lookers, and act very smart. They would go crazy over a caged coon at a very young age. They are just five months old, and the three I kept are already treeing with my old dog. I don't think you can go wrong with Albert III.

I've got a pup out of Albert III here that is a pretty dude, and smart as a tack.

The older I get, the more important a dog's intelligence is to me. I can't stand to work with those meatheads.

Albert III is an intelligent dog, and he seems to be throwing it.

Mr. Carroll,
What female is your Albert III pup out of? I was just wondering, because Gary got two pups out of the litter that I raised and I thought that it might be one of them. Thanks.

My pup is out of a female called Ruby, out of old Albert and a Chief daughter.

The pup is actually Gary's. I had a sister to him, but she died.

Ruby belongs to a man named Quinton. I can't recall his last name.

Thanks Mr. Carroll. I was just wondering. My female's name is Jane and she is Hawk and Rebel bred. Last I knew, Gary still had the two he got from me. All of them out of this litter that I have seen lately are looking real good. One of my females ran and treed real good with her mama tonight, so I am hoping she will make me a good one.

Two of mine have real good bawl mouths. The little gyp that is treeing is kind of choppy on track, but hopefully this will change. All of the other ones that I have seen have good mouths though.

Mr. Carroll,
Do you know where Mr. Dawson lives? I was wondering, because I plan on breeding my female back to Albert III when she comes back in. Thanks.

I'm not sure. You ought to go hunting with the Duke dog Gary bought recently. He likes him better than Albert III.

He is out of old Albert and a Chief bred female. I haven't hunted with him yet, but he is a good looking hound.

I have talked to several guys who have seen him go, who don't own a hair on him, and they have said he is super nice.

Gary says he sounds almost exactly like RangerIV on the tree.
