I give bread during cold weather hunting but not a lot and not every day. To much bread isn't good for your dog.

We were putting it in coon feeders and it would go through a heat and turn bad..I think it killed some of the coons..Also my buddy got to feeding A LOT of it to his cows and we know it killed a few of them.Their stomachs and the yeast did something to them the vet said..Have never tried it on the dogs but I might...

I believe too much yeast can dry a females womb out and then you can have problems down the road if you raise pups....

thats what i'm trying to figure out is what porportion is healthy and how much is too much... an old timer i hunt with gives his hounds a loaf a day and hardly any dog food, they are def. healthy looking but they can't be getting the protein they need for muscle stamina and rebuilding after hunting.... i wouldn't think anyways

A vet in Aiken has this sign outside her clinic....

"Feed people people food, and feed dogs dog food."

Just a thought......

I gave my picky one some bacon grease and an old biscuit this morning. Mixed in his DOG food of course!

Bread

I have fed bread to my hounds and cows for years and never had a problem.

If you have a dog that just seems like you can't put weight on him no matter how much dog feed you give him try feeding him a half a loaf a day for two weeks along with his dog food. You will start seeing a heck of a difference in how healthy he looks I promise you.

My cows love it and it makes them gain weight and look great. I know others that do the same and I have never had a problem with it. Been doing it for a lot of years.

Go Psycho!
