How old is he?

Age is a factor in addition to genetics. Also, if a dog is stressed physically it can affect the way feet and pasterns look.

my bud dog would stiffen up on the bench and look real good. like you he needed two more wins to finish to grand, but he relaxed on the bench and didn't look as good as he had before. i had my wife show him because he wasn't used to her handling him. he stiffen back up and finished. you might try a diffrent handler and see if it helps.

Just enter him in shows where there aren't any other champions entered. You'll get your two wins and be done.

I agree with Tim

put him up where he has no comp.

is he a large dog?

I have seen larger dogs (especially ones hunted hard and ran hard at a very early age) break down their feet around the age of two. It sounds like you have done everything in the book other than to try glucosamine and condrotin suppliment and see if that helps in about 2 months.
