Magnet not turning off Wildlife Collar?

I have a wildlife collar, the one that you change batteries in yourself, and I dont know how long it has been this way, have never checked it before, but I realized the other night that the magnet does not turn it off, tried a couple different magnets, and nothing, still full signal. I have tried smacking it against my bumper, was told something about a switch inside that can get hung up? Anyone else have any insights or help on this?

Sounds like you are gonna have to send it in. Collars like that, I always put a little WD on the battery. Don't know if it will help that, but will help corrosion on the battery.

I just keep a quarter in the little pouch on my wick case, and take the battery out at the end of the hunt. There isnt room for another magnet in that slot under the collar. Does anyone know what Collar Clinic charges to go through and fix collars?

check it for dirt build up in the magnet slot,, soak it in water and scrub the chit out of it with a old tooth brush..

problems

I dont know if they got the problem fixed, wildlife I bought 5 new wildlifes a few years ago, and they went dead or wasnt shutting off. Its a switch problem. Now i went to tracker, and have had two do the same, apparently, they all use the same switches, but wont admitt to the problem. My last tracker cost 60 dollars to repair, of course they had to put on a new collar and antenna, that it didnt need. LOL
