No, a Walker will continue to improve until it domitates every hound without 250 miles. It'll quickly become the superior hound in every way.

walker style

A walker only has to mature untill it is about 12 weeks old and then it will dominate any other breed out there. L.O.L. just joking around bored and got cabin fever 3 ft. of snow and ice outside need a bllod hound to hunt and a husky team to get there

a dogs ability to improve is limited only by the amount of hunting it gets (or doesnt get), and its intelligence, not by the age or breed...there are more variances within the breeds than between them...

I don't know about age, I think it's all genetics. A hound is born with certain natural abilities; his tree style, his locating ability, his tracking ability; so pretty much what he is born with is what you get. The right kind of hunting will enhance these abilities, and the wrong kind can diminish them. Hunting and handling will not make a poor track dog into a super track dog or a poor locater into a super locater. Like all atheletes they are determined by their genetics and training. Tom
