Garmin

I hate to add yet another Garmin question thread, but I did a search and couldn't seem to find my answer.

I just got a Garmin, and the problem I'm running into is that I'm trying to use different dog's names for one collar. Is that possible, what I've been doing is creating a new dog everytime I go to the woods and it's been a big pain. Any tips would be appreciated, I couldn't seem to find my answer in the owner's manual either.

Thanks!!!

The easiest thing to do in your case would be just to change the collar name each time you hunt. Takes only a few seconds to do, especially after you get used to doing it most every hunt like I do.

I just figured that I'd be able to go into my dog list and select which dog I wanted to track when I started a new hunt. Only reason mainly is for the keeping of the stats part.

I got tried of changing the names all the time so all my collars are named: Dog 1 - Dog 2 - Dog 3 and so on. Each collar is also labelled the same...Just remember which collar is on which dog!!! Works great for me as I got 6 collars and run all 6 when running coyote hounds!!!!

have to have different collars unless you manually change the dogs names everytime to hunt a different dog and use the same collar.

I still have the old DC-20's modified on collars of different colors. I just put the collar color as the name. Then I just have to remember what dog is wearing what color.

If you switched the DC-30's to the new dayglo colors, you could do the same thing.
