I agree it wouldnt be much fun doing this alone all the time. I have made some freinds coonhunting and have seen some people on here I would love to meet and get a chance to turn some hounds loose with sometime. I met a guy from down south this summer that was up working on the pipeline. He had his wife bring his young hound up and went out hunting with us, really had a good time getting a chance to meet someone new and get him in the woods while he was away from home.

Lowell,

I have meet a lot of good people coon hunting and have really enjoyed hunting against the most of them.

But when you have done this as much and as long as I have, FRIENDSHIPS are more too me than a competion hunt. I have had coon hunting buddies that I had hunted with for 30 years die. I still have a coon hunting buddy that hunts with me every night, I have pictures of him playing with my children and now my grandchildren. Believe me he means more to me than any ole dog or any ole hunt. We can disagree on a rule, we can disagree on a dog and what he is doing. But when the hunt is over we are still buddies and will be till we die. I have been fortunate to have quite a few of these types of friends. Should the world be made up of more people that could do just what I am talking about, let the hunts be the hunts and friends be friends then this world would be alot better place.
