Trail Mouth?

I know everybody has a preference, how much mouth do you like for your hound to give on track?

I like a fairly quiet dog, get struck as soon as it smells a coon, then bark here and there and BOOM treed.

I know a lot of folks who really like a wide open dog, and I don't believe the amount of mouth given on a track determines whether the dog is a coondog of not.

What do ya'll like?

I like the sound of a hound. I want them to open often enough that I know where they are and what they are doing. Nothing better than hearing them warm up a cold track and push it to a tree. I don't like a dog that barks for no reason. I know that a quiet dog seems to get treed quicker but, I like to hear a bawl mouth and a nice locate.

the dog you described in your post would be ideal for me. I don't want one to bark every time they move their feet.

I like a dog to bark according to the track, enough that I know what its doing and where its heading. I don't want to just hear dogs fall treed everytime!

This pretty much describes what I prefer.
