What do you use to

When i shoot out a coon i don't leave it in the woods. Although i eat about one peice a year, i know othe people that love the meat. And i don't think it's right to waste it. What i was wondering is what do you all use to carry your coons out with? As you all know with all the equipment we carry today, along with dog and gun, is there something that works well. Thanks

Skinned or not skinned I have found that an old military duffel bag is pretty handy for carrying them and it has straps to carry like a backpack and weighs next to nothin when empty. The secret to handling it when full is simple too, I let my wife do it !! ha ha ( she knows a little fella like myself cant lead to hounds, carry a .22, and navigate while carrying coon hides ) I hope she stays off the computer!

I wear a hunter orange backpack. I keep food, water, spare bulbs, ammo, squallers... etc. (everything i may need). It will fit a couple of gutted coons in it very nicely. I like a backpack because its out of your way and comfortable, and you don't even know you have it on your back.

Cut a hole in his hind leg ( paw) and run a stick through it. That way you can drop it when ever you get tired. Pick it back up when your ready to go. Pups will hang around some or even try to get at it, but use some common sence and that won't last long.

We use a bookbag, works great. I myself am thinking about getting a vest with a gamebag though, cause sometimes we forget the bookbag. Like the other post says if ya got a kid with ya let them carry it.
