Sick coon in Michigan

Has anyone else around mid michigan been finding dead coons in the woods? Seen them curled up on the ground at the bottom of den trees no holes and they look like they were healthy. What type of disease could kill them that fast? Rabies?

When the coon lay up for periods of time this time of the year they come out weak. If they weren't strong when they denned up.....they don't make it.

Distemper

I have seen it in our area a couple years back - natures way of thinning over population. Just need to kill a few more to keep em thinned down. lol
