? about puppys need some help

I have a pack of puppys I guess I can say. Five are 14 months and one is twenty months. I started huntin them with old dogs after got out of runnin pen and gun huntin them. well now I am just runnin them six but ever time they see me they stop runnin and come out but if I walk back in where they came out they pick rabbit back up and go to runnin. has any body else ever seen this and how do I fix it? thanks

I agree. You have to stop running them together until they are competent on their own. It'll be hard to do with that many!

fellas these puppys all have already been solo and all six can run a rabbit to death solo. Just when they run rabbit to where they can see me they come out lookin for me to show them a rabbit but when i walk back to spot where seen me they take back off with rabbit. they all hunt harder to jump a rabbit and hunt checks harder than most people old dogs. A good friend of mine told me I started gun huntin to early. but i dont know but one thing keep runnin the hear off of them if they keep up going to put one of my old RABBIT DOGS with them So when they do it they see they dont stop.

If you're not already, I would try completely ignoring them when they come running to you & act like they aren't even there. If they're coming to you because they think you'll show them the rabbit then hopefully they'll soon stop after realizing if they want a rabbit they're going to have to do it themselves & going to you is a waste of time. If you're talking to them or even scolding them when they come back trying to get them going again, they're still getting what they want, your attention & direction. Good luck
