What info do you like to see in dog ads?

I am preparing an ad and wondered what information people like to see in an ad ? I realize no ad takes the place of boot leather , but I'm asking so as to get a general idea of what kind of information seems usefull , instead of the regular run of the mill BS in alot of ads. Thanks.

Where the dogs littermates are and how they are doing, what the parents and grand parents are like, farther back if possible, and what the dog the ad is being run on has produced, if anything. Maybe contact information for the owners of littermates/parents, etc....

lots of outlandish claims about the dog and a lineage of pedigree rivaling the one for Jesus in the Gospels. at least two pages of lies and half truths followed by extremely high asking prices for stud fees and pups. don't go for the "run of the mill" b.s., go for "global warming" sized, jumbo insane b.s. -hype sells!!!!

oh, and LOTS of pictures.

1) Pedigree. If your ad is for stud, how can you expect anyone to even inquire if you don't list a pedigree. If I'm looking for a stud, I already know what bloodlines I'm looking for. With no pedigree, I'd just turn the page.

2) References. List a few guys that have recently bred to, hunted with, own pups out of and etc. I'd rather call a couple references before calling a stud owner and let them blow smoke up my rear.

3) Location. Self explanatory.

It amazes me how many ads I've read that don't include any of the following.

I've never looked through a book to find a stud. I usually know what I'm looking for before even considering breeding as far as line of dog. Stud ads just let me know what might be out there from that line to choose from.

Those are the basics. Pics of young dogs doing it and a phone number for the guys that own them is always nice.

Can't argue that either. That approach has been very successful by some too.
