owens with bottom storage

I am thinking about getting a new box, has anyone have any experience with an Owens with bottom storage?

I like them better than anything going. Ed just purchased one and I am sure he likes it. The problem with me having one is the price. I would have more invested in light, tracking equipment and box than my dogs are worth.

the price is what has me balking also, you can buy a good pair cow for what one costs.

I know Jim Combs has one and he sure likes it.

I can see where it would be handy for a short guy like me to get to all my junk

The sandhills cow sale in Neb had good bred cows going for 9 to 14 hundred. This cattle deal may be turing around. I often wounder every evening when I put out about $400 worth of hay and grain.

Combs will always say he is broke when it comes to buying a hound but he will be driving a new p/u, have the best box, best light going and a good hound.

Good friend of mine has had one for a few years now. He absolutely loves it. Ilove it too and would love to own one but way too high price for my blood. Is there any other companies out there making one similar but less expensive? I just think the Owens are way over priced even if it is the best I've seen.
