Garmin antenia ???

Was on Valley Creeks website today and saw an after market antena for garmin that replaces the rubber one. Supposed to extend to 17 inches I think. Anyone got one of these new antenias. If so, how much distance did it add to the remote as far as picking up signal goes. Guy

Guy,

I got one. that fold brhind the garmin and will extend probally 17 inches. I do like mine I ordered it from ebay it was like $20 I do get a little extra rang e from mine than the old rubber one, but the best thing it folds behind the garmin and dont stick you in the side all night long.

Guy I just went and looked at Valley creek and I have the exact same one.

guy,it works folded up but if i lose signal i just extend it out. i personally dont care for em but they do give you a little more range. also something you can do is update your garmin,i just done mine and had a signal about 2.5 miles and before i would get about 0.6....... hope this helps.
