Come back to life

Went out for a short drop tonight with my buddy Don Newcome and his Penny gyp and her year old pup Sonny.Turn loose they go in about 200 yards hit a track.100 yards later there treed with the coon. Shoot it out dogs have there fun.Don let Penny carry it out to the truck but she drops it about 100 yards from the tree.So I pic it up and threw it over my shoulder to carry it the rest of the way.I make it about 150 yards fill the coons foot was trying to grab my finger told my self it was just his nerves. get to the truck this coon is starting to move more so I dropped it fast.Told Don that the coon was coming back to life.He said its just his nerves.he goes over to put it in the back of the truck. While I was putting sunny up. He grabs the coon and it growls at him.He said no its not dead. Glad I dropped it when I did.LOL

Last season I treed a medium sized coon. Shot it out and put it in my backpack. On the way back to the truck I felt it kicking me in the back. Let me just say I couldn't get it off fast enough LOL I ended up smacking him upside a tree with him still in the backpack. It took 3 hard swings before he died. Im guessing the bullet only stunned him.
