Had to make a trip to the ER

Evidently I didn't get enough of Vanderbilt last week, so yesterday afternoon, I go to the ER. My wife called Orthopedics and talked to the nurse there. I had whelps all over, hadn't eaten or drank in 2 days, and according to my wife, I was talking crazy. Which to some people that know me may say is normal. Anyway, she says bring him to the ER, which is a 2 hr drive. So I get there and it is no different than any other ER I've ever been to if you know what I mean. Anyway, long story short, I have a bacterial infection where they took the bone graft from, and it appears Oxycontin and I have a love/hate relationship. So they took me off that and gave me different meds. I sure hope this round they got it right, because I don't think I want to go through that again.

Just posting an update and another thanks to those of you who have thought about me and prayed for me through all of this. Thank you all, so much..Greg

Still With you!

In spirit and in Prayer.... Sounds like you probably scared the daylights out of your poor wife! I'm wondering if talking crazy goes along with ALL of us with bad backs? or.... all of us who share the love of the hounds?
Glad your wife had the sense to get ahold of the Drs and get you to the ER... Hope that this is the last of the setbacks for you, that the infection goes away quickly, new meds work well...and that you Heal Up Fast!

Prayers still heading your way, Heather & Bob
