off topic livestock question

Looking at containing some pigs, how steep of an incline can they climb? Would woven wire at the top of a cut bank be enough or would I need to add a hot wire as well?
Thanks

Pigs climb better than most dogs.

Woven wire will work for a while but pigs are hard on fences they will keep woking it over untill they wreck it...a hot wire in addition to woven wire would be best.

You must need somthing to do....Pigs are far cheaper to buy than raise right now.

when i lived at home ,i had the choice of takeing care of the cows and horses or the pigs ..

i chose 2 to 1 as if the cows got out i could ride the horse's to put them back in and if the horse's got out i could whistle to them and they would come running and i could ride them to see where the fence was damaged by fallen trees ect..

the only cows we didnt keep long were angus as they were like pigs ..
if they could get there nose thru the fence ,they were going thru taking the fence with them...

the best angus and pig is the one on the grill,,lol

A fellow I know is running short on room and would like to keep some of his stock going. I figured acouple of sows with litters might clean up some overgrown pasture and make for some nice grilling this summer, yum yum.
I have a horseshoe bend on the creek with steep cut banks , I thought I might use that as their cooling spot. By creek i mean normal level not over a foot deep.
