Guess the Breed ???

This female turned up at a local shelter where a friend of mine works, and I have helped her in the past find places for a few hounds, and I (against my better judgement) took her. She is very laid back, have not heard her bark, and around 55-60lbs...Looks like a faded redbone, but I am pretty sure that isnt right, lol...any ideas?

I havent picked her up yet, and I think those lighter markings, are just the light hitting her a certain way...I dont remember those markings, when I first saw her...

yep, hes rite.. if you like to fox/yote hunt.. it'll catch the fox/yote for you.. idk about her, she doesn't look as tall as they normally are.. but anywho, they make GREAT fox hounds.. best IMPO. and i've seen many of them make the running walkers look like they weren't running.. no joke about that.. anywho, check in your area for any fox hunters

It's definatley not an english dog or a full blooded dog! I would be willing to bet that it's a lab crossed with a hound.

I had an English male that looked just like that except this dog's ears are longer. If I hadn't have seen the male and female and watched the litter grow he might have been mistaken for a lab/hound mix.

Randy the dogs muzzle is just way too long and odd shaped to be a hound.

Looks a LOT like the July hounds we have. I'll have to see if I can dig up some pictures for comparison. One July female we have looks like a Lab crossed with a July, very similar in build to this dog. She's pretty, and looks to be a sweetheart...hope she finds a good home!

A cur can have different lenths of ears, because a cur is a mixed breed of dogs from way back,I say a treeing cur because the dog is most likely half hound, half cur.

The July hounds I hunted with had longer hair. Nose was pointed and sometimes pink, with shorter ears. More athletic build, tighter built, no dewlap. Mouths were high pitched like beagles and foxdogs, but not always. Real gamey and confident, cold nose was not a strong trait. Their color was predominant white with lemon or brown spots, but there were other color variations. They carried their tail high, and it was brushy, with some curl, but not much. That dog looks like a hound/lab cross as previously stated. The top of that dogs head is too round. That's a good looking dog though.
