I tired it and HATED it - well actually "I" didn't try it but I fed it to my dogs. They didn't like it, didn't do well on it - so I went back to what I was feeding.

But when I did the same thing you did - make a post - all I got was GREAT things about it. I tried 10 bags so its not like I only fed one. My dogs didn't eat it and the ones that did eat it did not hold their weight.

I personally couldn't wait to switch back! But I heard nothing but good stuff when I asked the same question.

Priscilla, I know what you are saying. We love Ultra and wouldn't feed anything else, but when we tried Black Gold and Purina, had the same results you did with Ultra. Even my dogs who gain weight on rocks, lol, wouldn't eat either one.

So......I think no matter what someone tells you, in the end you just have to try several feeds till you find what works for you and your dogs. There are lots of good brands out there.

Thanks

I am currently feeding pzazz 26-18 and was just compairing indgrediants to the ultra 26-18 and they seem very similar. I've been very happy with pzazz and hate to switch but I'm always looking for something better.

Any more people have experience with it good or bad.

I fed the 24/20 chicken and rice. All around best feed I ever fed for the price bar none. At the time I had fed Pzazz, black gold, hi-standard and some buckeye.

My biggest dislike was the feed was "powdery" Lots of crumbless - like 8-10 cups in the bottom of every bag. Maybe I got a bad batch.

Been feeding the 24-20 year round for the past 5 years. Once in awile I would have to switch as I couldn't get my hands on any around here. When ever it would come back around I would run for it like a kid in a candy store. Folks that know me know how I hunt. My dogs stay up on it with normal size feedings with the occasional dog needing a little more than the others. Not all dogs are the same. Love the feed and would recommed it to anyone.

I second Ben's comments. Same for me in that it was mostly inconvenient for me to get it here. Fed it for quite a while before moving to Michigan. Good food. Dogs loved it and did very well on it! Would recommend it to anyone.

I've fed about everything and settled on Ultra. Fed it for the last 2 years and my dogs do very well on it.

Never thought about it but maybe it is the heat in the south and the feed that does not agree.... I know the a whole lot of people in this area that had the same issue of dogs not being able to hold their weight will feeding Ultra....

Just a thought.
