help plz ...

ok i got a male walker that is about 17 months old and i want 2 start working with him.. how would i start him i aint never messed with a pup or young dog that much .. any help would be real nice .. thanks you ... JWray

u need a coon . put the coon on a collar and get him interested . u can play with him with a hide that will help get the sent in his nose . us either and let him see u put it in a tree .but not to many times . graduate him to using his nose more than his eyes. when he is treeing hide by nose u should quit with the hides and change to the collared coon with about a 20ft lead this will make the sent more real when he is running it good then u should hunt him and have alot of patients. good luck and hope i could help.
