big coon

Just thought I would share a picture of a bog coon we treed on friday night. I do not kill very many coons, because once they get lead poisining they cannot leave a track for me to run tomorrow night. With hunting spots getting harder and harder to find we as hunters need to leave the rifles home. With hides not being worth anything I cannot understand why people have to kill all these coons. Do the dogs really need every coon they tree?

i don't think a well trained dog needs everyone that it trees...if you shoot everyone of them there want be no more to run later...

shootin coons

I also dont believe that a for real coon dog does not need em all shot out,BUT if you dont give em one when thy deserve it why would they keep huntin for ya?I mean if every time you went to kfc and asked for chicken they kept tellin you thet they were out you would probably quit going to kfc
