Jacob Weaver, 8 year old son of Glen and Mary Weaver of Greentown, Indiana was recently involved in a deer hunting accident and praise God is now recovering. Glen and Mary are incurring expenses that are at a difficult time with Christmas so near.
Glen has been a devoted competition hunter in all the kennel club sanctioned hunts and is president of the Western Howard County Conservation Club now located at Peru, Indiana.

We need your help and prayers for this little boy and his family!

The club members have organized a Benefit Ham & Bean and Chili supper on Saturday December 19. This will be a free will donation with all proceeds going to the Glen Weaver family. There is a PKC sanctioned hunt scheduled for that night and all profits from the hunt will go to the Weaver family as well as a buddy hunt for those that do not wish to participate in the licensed hunt. The hides brought in will be donated in behalf of the Weaver family. We will have a fur buyer present to buy the hides with all money donated to the Weaver family.

Anyone wishing to bring a dessert , pie or cake please feel free to do so. What is not used during the meal, we will auction off.

The supper will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and the hunt will be afterward.

From intersection of U.S. 31 & U.S. 24 go east on 24 approximately 1 /4 mile and turn left on Eel River Cemetery Road. Club is approx. ¼ mile on left.

Folks when Tammy says "injured", what she really means is he was shot with a .410 deer slug.

Jacob will recover, but he and his family are still in need of our support, as friends, coonhunters, and as fellow human beings.

Any/all support even if it is sending a postcard or get well card will do.

Glen,your son and the rest of the family are in our thoughts over here in Ohio.My wife April and I will be over for the benifit.Will try to bring something and help out anyway we can from this end.If there's anything I can do just give me a call.
