Inner eye lid comming up ?

I brought my pup in tonight and his inner eye lid is comeing to far up on his eye. It is the bottom corner of his eye closest to his nose. Got any idea what cold cause it? He feels fine and doesn't want to do anything but play and eat but looks weard. I will take him to the vet tomorrow but thought someone might make me sleep better tonight if they ever seen this before.
Had dogs all my life and never seen one do that.

Inner lid

I have seen it more and more here recently.
I just had a young female get it in both eyes and had to have surgery to correct it. Once they have the surgery, they are fine.

I have seen cats eyes do it when they get worms but never seen dogs eyes do it. I have seen a lot of blood hounds have to get there eyes tightened.
This is just the inner eye lid comeing up and covering to much of the eye. Makes his eye look kind of rolled back in his head.

There are quite a few things that can cause it, none of them too serious. Stress, sinus infection, lowered immune system, and a minor irritation (hair, weed seed, etc) to the eye. If you think it might be something in the eye, take a big syringe (without the needle!), fill it full of lukewarm water, and flush the eyeball a couple of times (you'll probably need someone to help hold him still!). To be effective, you need to hold the eyelid out from the eye so you can flush underneath it. As long as he's acting OK, and not scratching or bothering the eye, it'll probably be better tomorrow on it's own.

Ok that sounds more like what it might be. I don't know for sure how long it has been like that. Haven't seen him in the light in a few days. They ran a track threw and treed just on the other side of a maze field Friday night. Then Sat. I was busy and Sat. night I took him out again and they ran hard. One dump about 3 1/2 hours, pretty hard on a 5 month old pup. So stress yep he has had some. Sore ear from fight Friday night too and about anything could had got in his eyes. I should had flushed them when I got them home. I will just make it a habbit to do that when I come in.
Thank you Laurie and you too David

Just took a female to the vet a couple of days ago for this. Dogs have a third eyelid and they have muscle they will contract the eyeball back into the head. When i took her to the vet you coulnt see here eyeball because the eyelid had it covered. They used a drop to numb the eye and the pulled the eyelid out and found that she had got sum plant seeds in there that were irritating the eye causing this. They put her on an oral antibiotic and some ointment. Its best to take them to the vet to check it out before it gets ulcer on the eye.

I recently had a pup with the same thing! went to the vet and wasted money... try a small dose of benadrill, it worked overnight for me!

i had one like that it came and went then a month later the pup developed a cherry eye and within 3 weeks the other eye got the cherry eye. the vet had told me that when the inner eye lid was stuck it probably was the start of the gland behind the eyelid that caused it and also said he most likely would get cherry eye the vet was right and he removed the gland and the eyelid is normal you would never know he had it,by the way it is an inherited weaknes . it's a 10 min operation they give local in the eye pull the gland out and snip it off. one vet wanted 175 per eye my vet charged me 40 dollars for both eyes
