LED head?

Has anyone tried the 5100 style LED head from nitelite? I have saw the PRO head LED heads with 4 LEDs in it for around $200 but the 5100 style has seven LEDs and is only $25. It there that much difference between there performance? I don't know a thing about LED lights but I figured someone on here would know all about them.

Have heard the Nite Lite led is more of a utility light and not very bright. No personal experience with it.
I've got one from Blazer and it works just fine.

I looked at the 5100 style and the other at a vendors stand. the bar type has larger bulbs and would cast a light on the high ceiling. the 5100 style would not. like the previous post I believe the 5100 style is for walking, etc.

The same as a 21v light turned up on the high side. Me and my papaw both have one, only light we will hunt with anymore. Hunting with a 5100 is like walking through the hills with a candle after hunting with the LED Pro Head. Try one and you will like, in my opinion the best light on the market today.

The LED head with the four bulbs running side to side like you described is the one you want. It is better than the new style one that recently hit the market.

What experience I have had with a couple was it did throw a whiter, tighter spot but was still not bright enough for me. I like to burn a tree down before I leave if I cant find the coon. I liked everything else about the led's except they were just not bright enough for me.

GT"S Hunting Supply at Ten Mile Tn. sells the best one I have seen so far. I have one I am using on a 24v belt light that is really bright and durable. Give him a call at 423-344-8736

The led Pro head ($200.) is the brightest on the market so far. It has 520 lumens on its highest setting and that's more than any of the others.

The LED Pro Heads ($200) are not $200 everywhere.
I know where you can get them for $175.00 and the shipping is FREE.

Coondogless, you are right Bruce has them for $175. Most everyone associates them with the $200. so that's what I meant. Bruce has some good deals on quite a few things.

The $25.00 dollar head is at it's best just a walking light. I'm told that Allen Roberts that owns Dakota Lights has a real bright led head for a 21volt light. Allen's number is 423-334-9121. It's the same head that GT's Hunting Supply is selling. I think it costs around $120.00.

How would that work on a 17 volt? Would it still be real bright?

It is still very bright with a 17 volt but as you could expect it is not hardly as bright as a 21. The difference between the a 17 and 21 volt with a normal head is about the same difference with the LED head.
