I have a two year old female that is facebarking other dogs. Nothing serious has happend yet but I need suggestions on breaking this.

When more then 1 dog trees with her put her on the lesh as well as the other dogs make them stand side by side treeing. if she so much as looks at the other dogs switch her back until she doesn't even want to look at another dog. Young dogs are like kids they test you to see what they can get by with.

Another version of the same technique is to use a caged coon in the daytime and an old, steady tree dog. Hoist the coon, put the 2 dogs on the tree and light up the face barker if it even looks at the other dog. Don't worry about ruining the dog. She is already ruined if you don't stop her.

Then, apply the same treatment in the woods at night. If your dog isn't smart enough to learn, you may need a replacement.

Get her focous on something other than the other dog keep her looking up the tree and if she as much as blinks at the other dog LIGHT HER A** UP I had a female that HAD the same problem its fixed!!!

Should I keep her on the lease until the old dog trees or continue to let them loose together and should I shock her on the tree.

Go hunt with a guy from Hennessey Okla. named BigDavidBeebe and he will break your dog of face barking.. He broke 2-of my pups and it only took him 1 tree & 1 hit. LOL He took an open hand and slapped the pup right in the side of it's head and it never face barked again...

I hope you can break your dog. My buddy has a nite champion english that will never make grand because he let his dog face bark too much and just after the dog made nite champion he started getting scratched because the face barking turned into more.

If it is looking to the dog on the rightslap the right side of it's head or bridge of nose. Same for left.

Becareful with a lot of these suggestions you will teach her not to face bark when your around but when you still out in the dark she still may do it. So make sure after you try the other ways you stand back away from the tree and she if she's doing it without you around light her up from the distance let her know you can reach her were ever your at.

If you shock one for face barking you better be ready for a fight.
I shocked 2 for getting growly at the tree and it exploded from there. I explained it to them with Mr. stick and they saw the light and decided I was the boss.
Not saying that is what will happen but be ready becouse that is what happened to me. I like to handle aggression up close personal and with a lot of force. That way they don't want to test it again for a long time.

I have broke a few with a shocker in the past. I put a dummy on a few days before to let him get use to the weight. Then traded out the morning I hunt and I sneak in close enough to tree to see it happen and lay it to him when he does it. I hunt in the morning to do this where I can see without throwing a light on him. You don`t want him just Light broke.
