RICKETS question..?????

i was wondering what the normal time from first starting the cod liver oil and calcium until you see a turn for the better...how long does it take to see results.

thanks for any reply in advance

brad

EDIT...for future reference.

i changed her feed to a 22 /12 and gave her 2 tablespoon of cod liver oil for a week. after the first 3 days the problem was almost 100 % better.. the puppy chow was to high of protein and she was growing to fast for her bones.

search ricketts, in the search box, as for time it depends on how bad the case, you should see some change within a month. and realize you looking at the pup every day so change might not be as noticable to you. kinda like your child getting bigger you notice hardly any change but some comes up and say s wow have the gotten big. you might want to snap photo and comapre every week or 2, jmo.

That's a real good idea with the photo. Cause nothing's fast enough to suit!

Also, if you go on down to Coondog Classifieds under the American Leopard Hound, there's a thread on there called "White Leopard" . There is a link on there to study up on something called "knucle over". I never heard of that but it seems like a vet came up with the term. So it must be different from rickets but it sounds like rickets to me.
