I was feeding Pro Plan Performance but it got real hard to find around here and I didn't want to drive 30 or 40 miles to get it. So I switched over to Diamond Extreme Athlete and so far so good. They look great and have plenty of energy.

I was feeding Purina Beniful until this week, I have my dogs switched over to Ol Roy Maximum now for the winter. The Purina Beniful just can't keep the weight on them when i'm hunting them.

I burried a setter bird dog this past winter, he was nearly 15 years old.He was never sick a day in his life, but came down with testicular cancer, at 14 and a half. He ate pro plan performance for 10 years of his life with absolutely no problems. the meat based high quality feeds do have high protien levels, but they are much more digestable, and it doesn't take a gallon of feed to give them what they need to perform. Don't worry about your dogs health, worry about your finances if you feed these feeds!

I mix Purina One large breed and the (HI Energy) house brand from Tractor Supply. My dogs look good and not alot of mess to clean up. This is the combination I found that every dog eats without any problems and not loose on the other end.

I feed pro plan performance to my working dogs and regular pro plan during the off season. I'm often asked what makes my dogs shine like they've been buffed and waxed. It's the dog food.

Thanks for the info i have been feeding dimond lamb an rice dogs look good but 15% fat is not enough they get there energy from fat not protein and i can tell there energy level is not what it was on a higher fat diet i wish someone would come out with a 24/22 feed imo that would be perfect

Pro Plan Performance to my most hunted dogs and Retriever brand from TSC for a couple others that don't hunt much.

You can absolutely not hunt a dog down nor hunt the weight off of one feeding it Pro Plan Performance. I can hunt my dogs 8 nights a week from sundown to sunup on 3-4 cups a day and they wont lose a pound and thier hair shines like new money.

Diamond All Natural Chicken. I did quite of bit of research this summer and narrowed it down to this. Im not sold on any feed but for the money, the stool, amount of feed it takes and the dogs coats along with energy I feel ok about this feed. Im going to stick with it for another 2-3 mos. I been on it now for 3 mos.

I have been feeding Hi-Standard for several years now, IMO it is the best feed on the market for the price. Paying $18.50 for the 26-18 formula. It is meat based, no soy with Omega 3 and 6. Hardly any clean up and stamina and coat looks great.

Im doing the same but the dogs that arent getting hunted as hard are getting Level 2.

I really really like this feed. Ive never seen one that keeps dogs in such good shape and the cleanup is the least Ive seen as well.

I have been feeding Kent Active dog for 3 years now. Kent active dog is the best feed I have ever feed, and I have tried all of them that are avaible in my area. I know kent is not a cheep feed but, I get as good if not better results than any of the big name feeds and I have tried them all. $20 for 40 pounds at my local store.
