Rats/Mice in your kennel????

Now that the weather is turning colder, you can expect rats and mice to try to enter your outdoor kennels or any buildings on your property. A safe and effective way to eliminate the population without the risk of poisoning your dogs is by placing bowls of coke or another carbonated sugary beverage around your kennel. The vermin will drink the coke, and because of their inability to burp, their stomachs will eventually explode. You can always use poison, but you run the risk of your dogs getting to and eating the poison, which can be fatal to your dogs.

I bought some wheat ground a few years back. The mice and rats were unbeleivable. I would shoot them off my back porch. Spent hundreds of dollars with little sucess.
I had heavy hog pannels for walk ways. They were built for floors of hog pens so you could wash out underneith them. I took a cake pan, put anti freeze in it and slid it up under the walk way. I was amazed. A few days and they were all gone. Coke you have to pour fresh as soon as it looses its fiz. It is safer but if you have a good safe place to put it the anti freeze is fast and lasts till they drink it all gone gone.

You're right....once the carbonation is gone so is the effectiveness. I usually buy the cheapest colas I can find and replace everyday. The draw back to the anti-freeze is dogs love the taste of it also. A person would have to keep it under lock and key.
