I just wash my concrete off with a water hose. What does sealer do for it?

puts a smooth apoxy finish on the concrete, seals up cracks and pitted or worn concrete..just makes hoseing down a little easier..

It's just my opinion but a slick finish doesn't seem to good on dogs feet. I guess its all about how slick it is though. Dogs feet are made for walking through woods. Seems like it may cause health issues down the road. If I did concrete kennels I would try to keep a rough finish on it. Just my opinion though..

sealer

I used a light brush finish and the sealer from the concrete plant. You spray it on with a garden sprayer about an hour after the concrete is hard to the touch. You don't touch the concrete again no watering down concrete or anything. Only way to go. There's a guy here who builds nice kennels he told me how to do mine. Best advice I got on my kennel.

Use an acrylic sealer if it is available the best stuff going, nothing sticks and hardly uses any water to clean up, a little shiney and is a little slippery but works great. If you are worried about a dog breaking a leg 'cause it is slippery you better get tougher dogs imagine what dangers there are out in the woods!!!

I have this on my garage floor too. When my garage gets put to kennel use it performs very well. Not too slick at all. Cleans well, looks good. The smoother the surface the faster it will dry and the less germs that will find a home there.

I just repoured one of my indoor outdor kennel colored and sealed it. I used acrylic sealer with a non slip additive looks like glass and you will absolutely not slip on it wet or dry.I would like to do my others like this.I will say it is not cheap.
