garmin maps

i received my garmin today with the map card and the trip and waypoint manager but kind of dissappointed not detailed mapping for northern mich it just shows highways and yes i did try zooming in and out on both computer and garmin any would be great

Sounds like you have the map card, based on your description.

What more description are you wanting, it shows creeks, swamps, rivers, roads, road names, and elevation, and a lot more. Did it tell you that it was installing when you put the card in? Should have taken about a minute or so and had a progress bar going across the bottom.
