Thats a huge bear but no one in my area has any idea of how that compares to other bears because we never wheigh them with the guts still in them.

Most WI. hunters remove the guts within minutes after harvesting. I am guessing that the bear dressed in the high six hundreds but I don't know.

It is way to early to be calling this a record. We will see when it is time for the skull to be measured.
Kyle

the bear weighed 727 lbs live weight it was harvested over bait on private property in the town of spirit.the reason he left the guts in is to get a before an after weight while dnr rep was on hand to certify it as the potential wi state record wich it did not beat (685lbs)this bear dressed at 676lbs it was somthen to see in pearson it covered a 4x8 sheet of plywood

when you get to that link, just run a search on their internal search engine for bears, that is how I got it.
