garmin astro dropping the collar

Need info on how to pick up tracking on dog again when it drops him.

Get closer to your dog.It will show the last spot he was at.With mine,if it loses the collar,I need to be getting closer anyway if the dogs gotten that deep.

Use the long range or the folding antenna.....makes a HUGE difference in range. I got 2.5 miles on the folding and 3.5 on the long range. Struggle to get 1 mile with the rubber antenna.
