My neighbor called me last evening and said that her 140 lb. pit bull, Duke, got into a prickly squirrel. I said 'A what?' She said 'You know, a prickly squirrel.' I thought about it a minute and said 'You mean a Porkie?' She's like 'Yeah, one of those things.' Well let me tell you what, did he ever. It took 2 shots of Ace horse tranquilizer, 3 grown men and about 2 hrs. of pulling to get most of them out. Frank and I went back today and they gave him more tranquilizer and pulled about 40 more from the roof of his mouth. All told, I'd say they pulled close to 300 of them. Maybe more. This is the second time this week he got into a porkie. She told me that they pulled more from him the first time. That was one big dog and a whole lot of will power not to go down and sleep. He fought them the whole time, even with the tranquilizer in him.

I'll let them do it, they are on the other side of the ridge from us, lol, and I ain't goin' prickly squirrel huntin'! So far, our dogs have been smart enuff to stay away from them.
