i have a yaesu ft 2800 i cant talk long distances on it buti can hear t people tryn to talk to me can

look up the radio online sumthing will *** up on how 2 pick the radio they wont transmit otherwise believe u need 2 do sum soldering on the 2800s

sounds like a bad ground

make sure you solder the coax end where it goes into the radio

Make sure it's not on duplex, then try a master reset. Reset procedure would be on page 47 in the manual.
