McDONALDS....THE BUCK STOPS HERE!!!!

When it is time to turn in one's license!

An old man and woman were on the way to Greenville, NC

and stopped at McDonalds in

Farmville just off of 264 East bypass last Saturday

and did not know that they hit this deer!!

Someone in McDonalds had to tell them ...the old man said he noticed that the car was starting to run a little hot the last few miles.

that deer looks like the size of a goat... If they had of hit a deer up here they would've known it...... I figure times are tough though, maybe they think a "donation" will get them a free "#1"...

I was thinking the sme thing. If you drug that deer for even a mile on the pavement there would be nothing left of its nose, head, or front legs.

I grew up in Greenville, and I've stopped at that Mcdonald's plenty of times. and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if one of the yahoos out there did that!!! I'm surprised anyone said anything and that they didn't just pull it out of the grill and take it home and throw it on the grill!!

found this on another site about this pic:

Don't know if it helps, but that's the McDonalds about 5 miles from my place. The setting looks right (it is laid out like that, and the bit of greenage in the background is there in real life)

However, I haven't heard anything about this, and I know enough people that know enough people who eat at McDonald's (or Bojangles right next door) every morning, (and afternoon, and evening...) that I think I would have heard about it.

ETA:

Ahh. Just asked the folks. Apparantly this did happen. My mother's coworkers in Farmville were talking about it. And a family member (Father's Mother's Niece's Something ) saw the car. The story supposedly goes down just like the description says. I'll try to ferret out some concrete details or at least a round about date. The local paper isn't online, so don't know if they ran a story on it.

What happened is that an elderly couple hit a deer on 264. They knew they hit it, but weren't familiar with the area, and continued until they got to McDonalds. (It's right off 264, and there's signage) The engine did run hot. They called someone to pick them up and the car was left in the parking lot until it could be picked up or towed.
