 garmin updates?

how do you update your garmin and does the collar get updated as well?
i have been to the garmin site. just cant find where to go.

First you have to hook your garmin to your computer and then turn it on. go to gramins website and it usually does the rest. Yes you can update the collars as well.

Use this link.

Install the "Web Updater" software" and it will automatically install the updates when you connect your Garmin to the computer with the USB cable.

I updated my receiver a few weeks ago, I don't know how to go about updating the collars. There is no way to hook up the collars to the PC!

The collars update by communicating with the handheld unit. I don't know exactly how to do it but I do know that the collars have to be turned on and communicating with the handheld.

Once they link up it will ask you if they are touching if not but the collar on top of the astro and click yes. It should do the rest.

I updated mine and had never had any problems. They say you should update to the latest versions they have out to help with problems.

Thanks guys, I am sure that mine have been updated then. I haven't had any trouble with mine, I only updated because Garmin knows these things better than I do and if there is an update, it must be for a reason.

What kind of updates are you getting? Can you tell any difference after updating? I've never done it but I haven't had any problems either. Mine is about a year old.

I just updated everything last night 2 collars and garmin there were several performance upgrades for the colllars like turns on easier better battery monitoring and when i turned everything on last night it all linked together super fast!
