Prayer At Autumn Oaks

Would anyone that will be attending Autumn Oaks this year like the opportunity to lead their fellow hunters in prayer before we draw out each night? I know I asked this last year and it was well received. I can use someone different each night but please make sure you can be there for whichever night you agree to.

Feel free to hit me with a pm if this sounds like something you'd like to do.

Todd,

I would be very willing to lead the hunters out in a prayer before being cast out either night.....I will be hunting both nights and would feel it a great honor to honor my personal saviour in a word of prayer.....I hope you are already overwhelmed with individuals that want to do it but, if you need someone let me know!

I also would like to see a prayer before the bench shows.

One of my fondest memroies of Vickie Hill is when her and Don pulled into a UKC Shriners Benefit Hunt in Mars Hill NC. The pulled in right beside us and before they ever got out of the truck Don removed his hat, they held hands and he said a pray. Those are the things that make a mark on a person and I have always since then said my own prayer before I take part in any show.

If you need someone to do it for any of the bench shows let me know. I will be there all 3 days and it would be an honor.

I would cetainly do it if I was there , but not going to make it this year.

I hope someone that is not shy of large crowds will step up and do it. It should never be overlooked. I have always appreciated prayer being a part of UKC hunts.

Todd

if you can't find anyone but looks like you have a taker. I would be willing to lead the hunters in a prayer before taking out to go hunt. Just let me know. I will be hunting on Friday night only and maybe Thursday.

Steve, Lisa, Vallen or anyone else that would be willing to lead a short prayer before the shows. I checked with Vicki Rand who is our show coordinator and she thinks it's a great idea. Simply check in with Vicki ringside in the morning to let her know that you are available.

Thanks to all for the overwhelming response we've had in this respect. It is heart warming.

what a great response...

It is very touching to know so many still believe in prayer and hold it near and dear to their heart.

Also, thank you Lisa for sharing that story with us about Don and Vicki, may she rest in peace.

Looking forward to a big AMEN!!! :-)

Connie

Great idea to pray and the show and the hunt! I am very thankful someone has thought of this! My husband Michael Overton would glady do it for you. He prayed before the casts were drawn out at the Youth Nationals and we both counted it as a great honor. We count it a blessing anytime we are given an opportunity to thank God for what he has done for us and ask for his blessing of protection. Doesn't matter who does it though, as long as it gets done.
Thank you so much again!
