garmin astro question

How do i erase tracks from previous hunts? I don't want my map to be cluttered with lines everywhere. Also, i've noticed some units have markers such as coon heads, pheasant, deer, food plot, while mine just gives me the option of truck, atv lodge, camp or blind, am i missing something, or is it just an older unit?

Coon Head and other Markers

Hit "Mark"
Under "Mark Location" there is a selection for "New"
Highlight it and hit enter,
When the new mark location comes up use the up down toggle to get to the default marker symbol which is probably a flag. When you get it highligthed, hit enter and you'll get a host of marker symbols. Also on the Mapsource software, I had an older version and went to "Help" and "Check for Software Updates" and I got the latest version of Mapsource and it has all the little cute hunting symbols to put on your saved maps. Great fun to download your hunts to mapsource and have them for looking back at when we get too old to hunt!

Also on the tracks you can hit menu twice, advanced, GPS Applications, Tracks, and clear your tracks. New hunt is certainly the quickest way.
