WOW!
SO... that thing IS that HUGE! WOW again! Darn on that skull.....LOL... That LOOKS like it is from alaska... and I'm GLAD we don't have them here...LOL...
Bob is order of arrow and Brandon, now 18 is... we've been torturing Dylan for a couple weeks about his Ordeal! LOL... this is a working ordeal... they will be doing the Camp Cleanup for end of season... eatting cheese sandwiches and sleeping out in the open one night(on the BEST weather weekend all summer...) hope he remembered his bugspray! LOL... Bet he thought about that bear as he drifted off last night! LOL... WHen he gets home I'll tell him your height, since he is 1/4" below 6 feet if I recall from his last physical. He'll put his arm up like that and think of ow TRULY huge that is! Akkkkk! LOL...
Man I just looked at the pix again and my first reaction is to get itchy like I did as a kid on our awful scary rug... I used to MAKE myself lie on it to read to over come my fear...Never worked. I LOVED the tiger rug though and IT never scared me... go figure... LOL... I seriously wish I had not let my mum sell all the mounts and rugs etc... when my dad died... the bison was amazing...their were deer, mountain goats, maybe some african stuff, a YUCKY bear head(lol), the tiger and bear rugs... My aunt and uncle owned an auction gallery...and my dad would buy them REAL cheap from estates... The only mounts they had that were from our family are the fish... sword and sailfish etc... I think they got sold to some sort of lodge. We still have a sailfish my Mum caught that hangs in her house. I think when she dies, in a BILLION years, that it will come here since we have some big wall space(in the unfinished part of the house)... we would have had space for the bison etc too...but when my dad died this house was not yet a "castle" with lots of space... I never did get to catch anything "cool" to have mounted... except one small fish that is boxed up somewhere here...till the house is "finished"... mice probably ate it... it is a "LookDown" fish! LOL...
You can tell we were a deep sea fishing kinda family! WOuld love to have had the sharks mounted too... LOL... but they were too big...and ugly... my dad and sisters had world records...I only caught tiny 7-8 footers... All those records are long gone but one... those were the good old days....
SOrry for the long post! I got wicked nostalgic...thinking of my dad, my mothers house...that I grew up in...that will leave our family once she goes...in a billion yrs.... Thank goodness my head injry only took away some of my memories and left me with TONS to smile about!
Later, Gator, Heather
