UKC Online Information & Pedigrees

I have 3 ,6 gen pedigrees, and 2 , 7 gen pedigrees (all on parchment paper)......... they won't fit in my scanner and i can't find anyone around town that can just scan the image for me (Kinko's Couldn't do it). I am bulding a website and i would like to show off my pedigrees. I tried to make a "image" with my digital camera and that didn't do so well either. when are they going to have online pedigrees? 6 years ago they said they were going to do something and don't know what happened..... do you need webspace or help with the database, or programing (html, java,or etc...) I am willing to do so, the U.K.C. to me is the Best Registry and you guys host and sponcer lot's of events.

Get a pedigree program. There are several inexpensive ones, that are very easy to use. You can enter extensive information into those pedigree's, then you can save them to an HTML file and put those on your website.

Or you can use a webservice like Pawvillage.com . Enter your pedigree information in there and then post the link to your own particular Pedigree.

We use a program called breeders assistant. We can display up to 5 generation pedigree's on our website, but my husband tweeked the files a bit and you can actually drill the pedigree now, back as many generations as i have in each dogs pedigree. Some go back as far as 1887. I record as much information as i can in each pedigree.

On-line pedigrees are something we are working on, but unfortunately it does take some time. But we are working on it.

What was the tweak that was done? I don't go back as far in my pedigrees as you, but I can go back 18 to 20 generations, and it would be nice to show it.
