POSSIBLY BE A URINARY TRACT INFECTION.
DID THE DOG HAVE ANY OTHER PROBLEMS? WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED? HAS HE BRED ANY OTHER FEMALES SUCCESSFULLY LATELY? ANY TRAUMA DURING BREEDING?
THERE ARE ALOT OF THINGS IT COULD BE. HAS HE RAN A FEVER OR ANYTHING?
FOUND THIS...
Semen evaluation
i) Color - Normal = milky, red or brown = blood, yellow = urine, green = pus
Hemospermia
Blood in the semen most commonly originates from the
prostate or from the surface of the penis during semen
collection. The later can quickly be excluded by
inspection of the penis as soon as the blood is noticed.
Typically, when the penis is traumatized during semen
collection, the blood is bright red in color. Blood
originating from the prostate is typically reddish-brown in
color. This discoloration is present in all fractions of the
ejaculate. Prepucial, urethral, bladder, or gonadal lesions
are possible, but less likely, causes of hemospermia.
