"Well, My Sunburst is dead (AGAIN)"

I have a Sunburst Eagle III & it seems like I am constantly having trouble with the batteries going bad! I like the way it feels but I can't afford $180.00 every 1-2 yrs for new battereis! It always seems to happen right around coon season too. Cann anyone tell me about their experience with Sunburst E- III whether good or bad? I'm not looking to badmouth, just trying to find out if it is a pattern & I need to move on, or if I am just having a run of bad luck. Thanks, John

I have an eagle 2+2 and it's been throught a war for the past 4 years an average of 4 nights a week and i haven't had any trouble with it. It's been a great light and i haven't changed the batteries yet and it still holds a good 2 night of hunting charge. Now on the other hand i have heard of nothing but problems with the eagle 111

2+2;

I was told that the old round style batteries hold up alot better! My 1st Sunburst was the old style & I couldn't kill that thing! I guess that is why I got another, I figured newer, bigger, lighter, better! Now that I look back, that may have been a mistake!

I've got a 2+2 and so does my dad. Had the batteries re-done a few years ago and they still are going good.

I have the the Eagle III plus. I think I gave $420.00 for it. Anyways in my opinion my light is an A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E PIECE OF JUNK!!! I haven't got to hunt with it 8 hours since I've had it. Yes... when it tears up they'll fix it..... and believe me it will tear up. I've seen candles brighter than the headlamp and my spot light has tore up more times than I have finger and toes. The guy that makes them seems to be an honest guy but the light is junk. On top of that you'd think think that something as cumbersome and heavy as this light would at least work when you need it. Yes.... I'm bashing SUNBURST LIGHT and I paid $400.00 to do so.

The worst thing I had happen was shortly after 9-11-01. I got pulled shortly after midnight, un did the helment, and stepped out with that contraption on. The cop reached for his gun and fainted before he could clear his holster. I had to call 911.

I have to keep it charged up for my hunting buddy who still uses it. He likes the high/low flicker switch. I've changed baterries in it 4 times in the 20 years I've had it. But never could get two nights hunting out of it.

Don't know anything about the new ones.

In the past 15 years I have had two of the 2+2's,,, they are awesome lights!! I had and Eagle III just to have the new and improved light and it was junk!! So I sold it and went back to my 2+2!! Just my opinion! Mark

sunbrust

ive owned two sunbrust 2 plus 2 's both were decent lights . i dont like the head set-up and if you put a 5100 on it cuts the burn time in half . there a good winter time light for the spotlight but they suck for summer shinning . the old round style batteries were ni-cad , and i know the new flat batteries are nimh style batteries , long story short , trade it for a belt light like bright eyes , cajun , or blazer 21 volts u can't go wrong , own one of each and love em all !

I disagree Ive used bandit, moonshiner,blazer, and a K-light and while all but the blazer were decent lights I found them better for winter hunting and the Sunburst better for summer I can find coon eyes much easier with a Sunburst the only thing that sucks about using them is the summer is they are heavy, but I use my Sunburst all year round till it dies

Jason buy you a sunburst 2+2 and I bet you change your mind. I have had a bad expierience with Blazer lights, Shane Groves and his gang seem like good guys but until they change there switch I would never ever consider owning another one!

I have had the eagle up thru the eagle III and never have had a problem with any of them. I am using the III now I have to guess its 6 or 7 years old hunt about 2 to 3 nights with it before i charge it. I will probably try a different light next time around only because they are so many different options these days but I have zero complaints on my sunbursts!
