We just got back from the bench show and I wanted to share a few pics of my little man handling a dog for the first time.....

He's a little short the judge had to bring him a chair to stand on lol

Here he was after the show

Here are all the kids who participated in the youth show

Everyone did a great job and had a great time. Thank you to the club for making the show a pleasure for my kids and everyone there. And a special thank you to Brian Osborne and Hayrake Kennels for letting Josh handle Sky.

Thank you and in the last picture my other 3 kids were in there too.... They didn't want to show bench shows like their brother until the youth fun class... Now all of my kids have convinced dad to build a bench for practice and they've picked out their next dog to start showing lol.... I just hope I don't have to buy more dogs so they can all show LOL..... But you're right these kids are our future and if this is what they want to do then my hubby and I are going to make sure they have every opportunity to learn , have fun, and be great sportmen and women

hehehe I think the best part of the whole time Josh handled Sky was when the judge asked to see her bite and he replied, "She doesn't bite!" LOL
I should have remembered to tell him about showing the dog's bite and not her teeth.... I termed it teeth to him instead of using bite..... That's what I get for abandoning horse shows for dog shows lol.... I'm almost postive we'll be at the New Phili show on Friday and I am positive we're going to be at Three River's Club show on Saturday... my daughter is working with a 16 month old dog also from Hayrake Kennels .... she's never been to any shows so this could prove interesting I'll give ya a shout this week I have a few things I want to talk over with you about joining your club Or you can call me if that works better for you... 740-545-0931

Siccem Fido! Imagine you have a trained "protection" type dawg the child is handling... and they ask to see the dog's Bite!

Your post gave me a good laugh! Children are so wonderful!
HappyHunting! Heather
