tie her on chain close enough to the house that an ole red ryder bb gun can hit. i do this at home just slide the window open let the bb's fly.

use water hose and spray her but get close so she can hear the sound of the sprayer. do that until she goes in the box.

Sounds to me like she might need to get some more excercise. Young dogs will often bark because they have too much energy. If possible try letting her run loose a couple hours a day or buy one one of those big long cables that they can run back and forth on and tie her to it for a while everyday.

I have had a few that barked like that after repeated whippings...I ended up getting rid of every one of them, it is my opinion that lack of intelligence goes hand in hand with endless barking that a good half a dozen whippings wouldnt stop...jmo

Sound like she definitely needs some exercise. We have dogs from a few weeks old to 10 years old and we have never had to whip/spray or whatever when it comes to barking. We use a bark limiter that sends out a noise when they nuisance bark. Other than that they are exercised on a cable or in a fenced yard. We also use a riding lawn mower and they run beside on a long lead. We also hunt six nights a week. Barking is the only way she can express her frustration. I couldn't imagine someone whipping me with a horse whip or even spraying me down with hose.

If she only barks from 9-10 pm you don't have it too bad. I did like the crate close to the house at night idea.

I have had great success using a muzzle, get one that the dog can still drink with it on..............

When she starts barking, give her a GOOD scolding and put it on her.......leave it on for several hours, take it off, when she starts do it all over again as soon as she starts. If she is smart, she will soon figure out what she will get..........good luck.....Tim

I have takin a piece of plywood cut out to fit over the hole of the coop then take a holesaw put some holes in it. Put the pup in it just before you go to bed and let it out first thing in the morning. should take two or three nights.

I have the same problem, its called cats. My kids dump the table scraps out for the yard dog and right about dark the neighbors cats come over. The 22 will fix the problem here I know.

I dont have a solution to your problem, but i will say be careful. I have a young dog now that i believe was really come down on for barking when she was a pup and im having a hard time with her shutting down when she sees our lights coming to the tree. The crate idea is as good as any.

The dummy collar will work for a while. I had a female that I used the no bark collar on. Then went to just a dummy collar. She would bark until she heard the door open and then shut up. She was smart. I put the dummy on her and she would shut up until she learned it wouldn't bite her. I put the no bark on her and she was silent. I would suggest just leaving the no bark collar on her. I have a tri-tronics that will light them up. I have not any problems with a dog barking with it. I put it on them for a few days with it turned of. Then when I turn it on I wait for them to bark and hollar at them. They associate my voice with the jolt and usually I can step outside and hollar and all you hear is dogs hitting the boxes. I use the same method with the shock collar. I don't let them associate the collar with the shock or they will figure out when they have it on and know what they can get by with.

a piece of hose pipe, a tri tronics collar and a stronger will for her to shut up, than she has to bark...beat her good with pipe, and shock her on high until it times out every time she barks, and it will soon end. if after about a week of this, and no positive results are seen, the 22 is the only be quiet device made that will solve your problem.

Bark limiter... sold at Pet smart, Jeffers Pet, PetEdge or Gundogsonline.com. They range from $50 up to $250+ for the whole kennel. Works like a charm and you don't have to go into these human temper tantrums of beating and so forth that only teaches your dog not to trust you. We have 20+ dogs and they get no problem along with being hunted and exercised but we put a lot of time into our hounds so they get the best of the best.
