my dog shows all the signs i cant get him in to the vet until this evening but my question is on the computer i read that canine cancer is curable and was wondering if anybody on here has ever tried this and what i should do

I have had dogs die from this and it is most likely a death sentence. It may go into remission but will come back. Just try and make sure the dog is comfortable and dont let suffer.

They most likely will give you a steroid for the inflammation.

I had to put one down a couple days before Christmas with fluu blown lymphoma.

One of my sisters has a dog (mutt) that is going through chemo treatments for this right now. The dog started responding after the first treatment and is acting like his old self again. I believe they are going to have to take him for treatments for 26 weeks. It's not cheap and it's not a cure but it is buying him some time and has so far helped him out immensely. By this, I'd say it's not an IMMEDIATE death sentence but it all depends on the dog....

My first police dog died of it. That dog meant quite a bit to me. The vet told me they could give him chemo and get a couple to a few more months out of him. I weighed cost, his age, the dog's suffering and his quality of life. I didn't go through with the chemo. He lasted another month and I had him put to sleep. If I had to do it again......I would do it again. He gave me almost 8 years of faithful service. I wasn't going to let him suffer through either chemo or pain.

My dog is on chemo and he hasn't suffered the side effects of chemo that humans suffer.

It depends on the drugs used in any chemotherapy what side effects one gets. Some drugs have worse side effects than others.

so far the vet says she dont think its cancer treating as an infection i was so glad gave antibiotics for 10 days should clear up if not going to go further ill keep everyone informed thank you guys for the oppinions and suport thank you again
